OUR APPROACH

We believe that most mental and medical ailments are the result of stress and maladaptive coping mechanisms. These might include alcohol and drug misuse, gambling, smoking, overeating, or even rage! At Lumen Eleven, we join people in developing, implementing, and maintaining the most effective, time-tested plans. We want people to transform their current circumstances to become the best, most successful versions of themselves.

Plant Medicine Crash Course

Plant Medicine and Psychology

Macrodosing, or consuming larger doses of mushrooms, has gained attention in recent years for its potential therapeutic effects. While there’s growing interest and evidence, this area of the field is fairly new with limited clinical trials specifically focusing on macrodosing. However, there is promising research on the therapeutic potential of psychedelics in general in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. It’s crucial to approach its use with caution, under the guidance of trained professionals, as its effects can vary widely from person to person, and there are legal and safety considerations to be mindful of.

Plant Medicine in Cultural and Indigenous Settings

Fungi have been used for centuries in traditional ceremonies by various indigenous cultures, particularly in Central and South America. These ceremonies often involve rituals led by shamans or spiritual leaders, where participants consume plant matter to induce altered states of consciousness for spiritual or healing purposes. The Mazatec people in Mexico, for example, have a long history of using mushrooms in sacred rituals for divination, healing, and communication with the spirit world. These traditional ceremonies typically emphasize reverence for nature, community, and the guidance of experienced elders or healers. Many credible researchers of world religious texts, including the Christian bible, believe that spiritual experiences were brought about through the use of fungi. Artifacts also depict these fungi in ancient stone art and sculptures. While the medical application of psychedelics is new, these plants have been used for years in numerous cultural and spiritual settings.

Are Psychedelics For Me?

As mentioned above, the healing properties of psychedelics are evident, but they must be used carefully. Setting, environment, headspace, and having a knowledgeable guide are all vital in ensuring you are safe and can learn from the experience. That being said, the experience still is not for everyone. We put all clients through a screening process that protects them from this and makes certain that you are going to be safe and will be able to take something positive away from this.
